Electronic Mail @ Clark Internet Publishing
Your email address speaks volumes about your business. Sending and retrieving email in the name of your company is considered much more professional than using an address at a generic ISP. If your company requires email support, Clark IP can integrate it with your website at reasonable cost. By taking this route, your email will appear to the world as part of your overall web service package.

Company requirements vary greatly. Your Clark IP representative can help you choose a solution that meets your needs. The following table is presented as a budgeting guide only; your representative can present a specific quote.

Policies, Procedures and Pricing

Clark Internet Publishing offers limited email service to its web publishing clients. For a small monthly fee, we will accept or forward email for the owner of a website and some number of additional users.

The service is intended for small business use. It is not intended as a substitute for a regular email account at a traditional ISP. Most users should also have such a traditional account elsewhere, especially for personal use. Large volume business use also requires a traditional account for storage purposes and because such ISPs may offer a superior user interface.

Mailboxes

Basic email service provides ten mailboxes. Expanded service may be ordered in increments of ten mailboxes.

Storage Volume

Basic service includes an online storage quota. The account supervisor may allocate storage quotas among users. Additional storage is priced as shown in the table.

Setup

A setup fee for company email is based on the number with the number of accounts to be created and the training required for the account manager. Minimum $100; may be bundled with website services.

Billing

Service is billed in advance. Each monthly invoice includes the basic fee plus surcharges for mailbox count and volume based on the prior month's service levels.

Mailbox Management

Clark IP will train one person to manage mailboxes within the account. The account supervisor is responsible for adding, deleting and otherwise managing users' mailboxes using an online interface. Direct invervention by Clark IP to solve problems for individual users is billable to the account.

Accessing Mailboxes

WEBMAIL: Clark IP provides a webmail interface (http://webmail.clarkinternet.com) that performs basic email functionality. The user can adapt the interface to suit. HINT: Turning off Trash is a good way to expand storage by eliminating the need to purge the trash; deleting an item is thus immediate.

EMAIL CLIENTS: The service can be accessed by any standard email client (Mac Mail, Outlook, Eudora...). The server and user configuration is provided to each user on setup.

ALTERNATE ISP: Many users who need extra storage have found it useful to read their Clark IP mail via a major ISP such as Gmail. We find that the Google interface is most flexible. It is relatively easy to configure Clark IP as an external POP account, or the system can forward messages directly to a user's Gmail account. The user then sets up a companion "Send As..." account, and all mail appears in the name of the user's company with Gmail relatively invisible in the background.

Bulk Mailing

Bulk commercial mailing via our servers is never allowed. Violation may result in immediate suspension or termination of service.

Expanded Messaging Tools

Additional Internet communication tools are available from Clark IP and third-party providers. These include instant messaging, chat rooms, immediate response systems and more. You may also wish to monitor staff mail or to provide complex search and retrieval options.

These expanded services are not within the scope of this page or the budgeting table above. Please be sure you communicate all your expectations to your representative. We are available to consult with you on your requirements subject to our usual fees.
